Echoes of Green is a thoughtfully curated interior design project that blends the energy of downtown Chicago with the calm and comfort of nature. Designed for a young couple who loves city living but craves a sense of warmth and greenery, this home is a modern sanctuary—intimate, luxurious, and deeply connected to organic beauty.

This project reimagines urban luxury through a lens of organic comfort, drawing inspiration from nature while embracing the vibrancy of downtown Chicago living. Nestled near the shores of Lake Michigan, this home is designed as a serene, earthy retreat for a young couple who craves both the energy of the city and the calming presence of nature.

The vision is to create a space that feels sophisticated yet cozy, refined yet personal—where organic forms and natural textures contrast beautifully with curated, modern design elements. Every corner is crafted to embody a lifestyle of understated luxury, where function meets feeling and each room offers a unique but connected sensory experience.

The design draws inspiration from natural forms—branches, leaves, trees, and pebbles—woven subtly into the interiors through textures, patterns, and palette. Rich, earthy tones such as olive green, sand, amber, and warm wood are paired with contemporary furnishings that prioritize both elegance and livability.

The living room, once limited in space, was reimagined by removing a formal dining area. Instead, the kitchen was opened up, featuring a custom dining table that extends from the countertop—efficient yet refined. Olive-toned cabinetry with brass details anchors the kitchen, offering a balance of drama and sophistication.

The living area features soft, warm materials and a wallpaper inspired by pebble stones, complemented by sculptural branches and greenery that echo throughout the space. It’s a place to unwind while feeling connected to nature.

In the primary bedroom, a leaf-patterned wallpaper and amber glass lighting create a peaceful atmosphere. Light-toned furnishings add contrast while maintaining a tranquil, cohesive mood.

The guest room brings a playful yet polished tone. A bold palm wallpaper sets a vibrant backdrop for a daybed, while baskets and textiles add warmth and texture within a small footprint.
